Violent Crimes - Aggravated Battery
Our client, M.J., was charged with Aggravated Battery Causing Great Bodily Harm/Permanent Disability/Disfigurement, a second degree felony. He was accused of taking a metal scraping tool and stabbing the alleged victim with it. The alleged victim was taken to the hospital and required surgery to fix the laceration and cut tendon. The police accused D.H of refusing to stop running after 3 officers instructed him to do so. The police said that D.H. pushed an officer and attempted to strike another officer. Police attempted to physically detain him, but he struggled free and ran from the scene. D.H was then hit with a taser. D.H. was exposed to 15 years in prison and 1 year in jail. Violent Crimes - Aggravated Battery
Our client, C.B., was on felony probation for Aggravated Battery, a second degree felony, in Repeat Offender Court. (ROC) He violated his probation by getting arrested for Battery on a Person 65 Years of Age or Older, a third degree felony, and Resisting an Officer Without Violence, a first degree misdemeanor. The Battery on a Person 65 Years of Age or Older was dropped. C.B was exposed to 35 years in prison and 1 year in jail. The police said that they were disrupting a business, fought with several individuals, and fought with security officers. Police also accused them of refusing to comply with their commands. Violent Crimes - Aggravated Assault (Domestic)
Our client, G.S., was arrested for Aggravated Assault (Domestic). Police said that she attacked her husband with his collection of Katana Samurai Swords. Our client's husband struggled with her to prevent her from cutting him with the swords. She cut her fingers and the police observed blood on our client's nightgown. The alleged victim called the police and told them our client pushed her several times. When the police arrived, they saw a bruise on her arm. Our client, P.B., was arrested for aggravated assault, assault, and criminal mischief. She went into a local retail store and knocked multiple items off the shelves causing $6000.00 worth of damage. Our client then got into her car and the manager of the store followed her to the parking lot. The manager told police that P.B. stopped her car and then tried to run him over. There were three other witnesses to the incident other than the manager. When the police questioned our client, the police said that she stated she was bipolar, psychotic, and has suicidal tendencies and the manager was lucky she only missed up his store. The police also said P.B. said she wanted to kill the manager. P.B. was facing 5 years on the felony aggravated assault, 60 days on the misdemeanor assault charge, and 60 days on the misdemeanor criminal mischief charge. After investigating the charges, our Jacksonville Assault Attorneys were able to get P.B. into a diversion program and at the end of her case, all charges will be DROPPED.
Violent Crimes - Aggravated Domestic Assault with a Deadly Weapon - Felony Domestic Battery
Our client, O.D., was charged with two counts of aggravated domestic assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of felony domestic battery. They are all felony charges and the maximum punishment was 20 years in prison. The police said that there were two victims, O.D.'s girlfriend and her sister. His girlfriend told police he hit her in her right arm, pushed her, and put her in a choke hold. She also said our client waved a knife at them in a threatening manner. The sister also gave a statement to the police. She said that O.D. went crazy, put her in a choke hold from behind and then took out a knife and waved it them in a threatening way. Police found a knife and took it into evidence. After thorough investigation, our Jacksonville Domestic Battery Attorneys were able to get all charges DISMISSED.
Violent Crimes - Domestic Battery-FelonyOur client, Q.D., was charged with Domestic Battery-Felony because he had more than one prior conviction for Domestic Battery in Jacksonville. Trial – Violent Crimes – Domestic Battery
Ms. Mussallem, a Jacksonville Criminal Defense Lawyer, represented S.P. on a misdemeanor charge of Domestic Battery. The police and two eyewitnesses claimed that S.P. grabbed the alleged victim, threw her to the ground, and punched her repeatedly in the body and on the face. Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer - Resisting an Officer Without Violence - Disorderly Intoxication - Public Disturbance
Our client, I.R., was arrested in Jacksonville for Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting a Law Enforcement Officer Without Violence and Disorderly Intoxication. It was 1:15 a.m. at the Ritz Bar at Jacksonville Beach and police said I.R. was being held back from getting into a fight with another patron. When the Jacksonville police officer touched I.R.'s left arm attempting to pull I.R. away, I.R. turned around, faced the officer, and allegedly shoved the officer away. The shove caused the officer to lose his balance. Another officer moved in, grabbed I.R., and said I.R. pulled away several times. Police say I.R. admitted the pushed the officer. I.R. was charged with a third degree felony, a first degree misdemeanor, and a second degree misdemeanor. Our Jacksonville Criminal Defense Firm examined the charges and ultimately got the felony dropped. I.R. was not convicted of ANY charge.
Attempted Murder - Accessory after the Fact - Juvenile
Our client, T.G., who is a 15 year-old juvenile, was arrested in Jacksonville for Accessory after the Fact on an Attempted Murder Charge, a first degree felony. That means the police said he assisted another person in attempting to kill someone. The victim in the case was shot with an AK47 and had to be life-flighted to the hospital. T.G.'s co-defendant, another 15 year-old, was "direct filed" as an adult. That means he will be punished as if he is an adult and will be facing life in prison. Our Jacksonville Juvenile Law Firm was able to keep T.G in Juvenile Court. The Department of Juvenile Justice recommended a Moderate Risk Placement for T.G., which would require 6-8 months in a halfway house. A Nassau County Sheriff's officer was working off duty at a nightclub ans saw R.M. punching his cousin inside his car. The officer swore that he saw our client punch the relative in the face 4 times. The officer ran over to the car and put R.M under arrest in Nassau County. The police said that our client was highly intoxicated. The alleged victim has a cut on his nose that was bleeding and has swollen cheeks. Violent Crimes - Domestic Battery
Our client, S. C., was arrested in Jacksonville for Domestic Battery and Possession of Less than 20 grams of Marijuana. The alleged victim was our client's husband and she told the police that S. C pushed her and then got in his car and struck her on the left leg with his car. An "independent" witness told Jacksonville police that she saw S.C push the alleged victim and saw the car S.C was driving hit her. The alleged victim had cuts/bruises on her body. She claimed S.C. has been violent towards her in the past and believed he would intentionally kill her. S.C was arrested for domestic battery in Jacksonville and when searched, police found marijuana in his left front pocket. The alleged victim also got a permanent injunction granted against S.C. After investigating the case, our Jacksonville Domestic Battery Law Firm was able to get the Domestic Battery charge DROPPED.
Violent Crimes - Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon
Our client, M.K. was arrested in Jacksonville for Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon. Police said M.K. exchanged words with some people in the neighborhood and he and the alleged victim got into an argument. M.K. got an aluminum baseball bat from his house and hit the victim in the head with it. There were two witnesses who told police they saw this occur. Police say M.K. told them that he did hit the victim with a bat . M.K. was facing up to 15 years in a Florida prison on this violent charge in Jacksonville. Violent Crimes - Simple Battery
Our client, A.H., was arrested for simple battery in Jacksonville. He was involved in a fight that was caught on surveillance video. The video showed our client hitting the alleged victim 2 times in the face while the alleged victim was unarmed. It then showed our client being pulled away by a witness. Our client, R.H., was arrested for felony battery by strangulation and felony battery in Jacksonville. Both charges were third degree felonies punishable for up to 5 years in prison each. One of the alleged victims told police that our client was asleep of the couch and urinated on it. He then got up and pushed her. She also told police that R.H. hit her head and she lost consciousness. Police then spoke to a witness and the witness said he pulled R.H. off of the alleged victim. Police then spoke to the other victim, a 15 year-old girl. She told police that R.H. grabbed her by the throat with both hands and held onto her for about 4 seconds, preventing her from breathing. She said he then pushed her away. Police observed a bruise on the alleged victim's face. After investigating the case further and interviewing the witnesses ourselves, our Jacksonville Felony Battery Attorneys got all charges DROPPED.
Violent Crimes - Aggravated Battery on a Pregnant Female and False Imprisonment
Our client, T.C., was arrested in Jacksonville for Aggravated Battery on a Pregnant Female and False Imprisonment, both serious felonies. Two witnesses flagged an officer down. The witnesses said when they pulled up in a driveway, T.C. was holding the alleged victim, a 16 year-old girl, down and pushing her face in the dirt. The witnesses said that the girl was tied up with plastic zip ties. The victim told police that she was sitting on a car in her driveway when T.C. and his friend parked in her yard and approached her. She said they held her, tied her wrists with zip ties, and threw her in the dirt. The police saw scratches on the victim's wrist and she was covered in dirt on her front side. The alleged victim knew T.C. because he lived in her neighborhood. She produced paperwork showing that she was 4 months pregnant. Our client, J.S., was arrested in Jacksonville for aggravated domestic assault, a third degree felony. The victim, her boyfriend, told police he and J.S. were arguing when she threw a kitchen steak knife, a spoon, and a fork at him. Our client, D.B., was arrested in Jacksonville on the charge of aggravated domestic assault on a pregnant victim. This is a second degree felony punishable for up to 15 years in prison. Police were dispatched to a domestic battery. The alleged victim, who was 7 months pregnant at the time, told police that she and D.B., her husband, had been arguing for several hours over finances. She said that our client took the only cell phone in the house and went to his car. When the alleged victim asked for the phone, she said that D.B. got out of the car, grabbed her by the shoulders, and then pushed her. She said our client then grabbed her arm. Police observed that the victim had red marks on her upper left arm and her arm was swollen. They also observed that she was bleeding from a small wound on the left anterior area of her elbow. JSO reported that the alleged victim was upset and sobbing while taking her statement. D.B. hired our Domestic Battery Law Firm and after further investigation, our Jacksonville Defense Lawyers were able to get all charges DROPPED.
Aggravated Battery Upon a Pregnant Female
Our client, W.L. was arrested in Jacksonville for Aggravated Battery on a Pregnant Female, a third degree felony punishable for up to 5 years in prison. Police were dispatched to an emergency care center in reference to a domestic violence incident in Jacksonville. W.L. admitted to police that he and his wife were fighting over finances and that he struck his wife on her lower left cheek bone after she hit him with an extension cord. His wife was 13 weeks pregnant at the time. The alleged victim, W.L.'s wife, told police that he came after her and grabbed her. She said that she did grab the cord, but missed. She also told police he hit her on her face causing bleeding. The victim was taken to an emergency care center to treat the cut on her face. Aggravated Battery on a Pregnant Female - Violation of Probation on a Child Abuse Charge
Our client, J.S., was arrested for Aggravated Battery on a Pregnant Female in Jacksonville while he was on probation for Child Abuse. When you are arrested for any criminal charge while on probation, you will automatically be violated. If J.S. was found in violation, he was facing up to 5 years in prison. Police were dispatched to a dispute and upon arrival, spoke to the alleged victim, our client's wife. She is 8 months pregnant and told police that our client hit her 2 times. Felony Battery / Domestic Battery by Strangulation - Resisting an Officer Without Violence
Our client, E.E., was arrested for felony battery by strangulation and resisting an officer without violence in Jacksonville. Police were dispatched in reference to a female who was injured by her husband. An independent witness told JSO that he heard the victim screaming for help and he ran over. The witness say our client picking the victim up in the air and then our client ran. The victim told police that our client began to drink and grabbed her buttox. The victim told our client to stop and he allegedly slapped her in the face with an open hand. She told police he then pushed her back down forcefully and started biting her on the lip, arm, and forehead. The victim said she tried to kick our client away and he then grabbed her neck and began to choke her. Police observed a bite mark on the victim's arm and her lip was swollen. Her hair was pulled in different directions and she had blood on her shirt. When the police went to our client's apartment to discuss the matter with him. When our client answered the door, the police attempted to take him into custody. Our client pulled away from the police and tensed his body. JSO had to strike our client's arms in order to stop him from tensing. An evidence technician was called to photograph the victim's injuries. Our Jacksonville Criminal Defense Law Firm looked into the case further and pointed out defects in the case. All felony charges were DISMISSED and our client was not convicted of anything.
Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer - Resisting an Officer with Violence - Disorderly Intoxication
Our client, M.F., was arrested for battering a police officer, resisting the officer with violence, and disorderly intoxication. All of these criminal charges were in Jacksonville. The first two crimes are felonies punishable for up to 5 years each. JSO was dispatched in reference to a dispute. When police arrived, our client was on the ground with several officers around her and she had slurred speech. The officer asked her several times if she wanted to leave with her friends. She was very loud screaming and cussing at the top of her lungs. She was laying in the road refusing to get up and being combative with anyone trying to help her up. Due to the late hour
(2:37 a.m.), she was arrested for disorderly intoxication. While trying to write the report, our client said she needed to throw up. The officer opened the door to allow her to do so and after, she refused to get back into the patrol car. The officer tried to push her in , and she yelled "F--- you". Our client then spit on the officer. She continued to kick a the police and did not calm down. Our client had to be put in a total appendage restraint. Our Jacksonville Criminal Lawyers presented mitigation about M.F. to the prosecutor's office and convinced them to send her to the pretrial intervention program. After she completes conditions, such as community service and a letter of apology, all charges will be DISMISSED.
Aggravated Battery Causing Great Bodily Harm
Our client, C.S., was arrested in Jacksonville for aggravated battery causing great bodily harm. This crime is a second degree felony punishable for up to 15 years in prison. Police were dispatched to an armed domestic dispute where our client allegedly told the alleged victim, his wife, that he was going to kill her before he ever goes to jail again. Our client's wife told police that they began to argue when C.S. threw a pink dinner plate at her face. The alleged victim's face had a small bruise below her right eye and several scratches on the top of her face. Police also observed that there was a broken dinner plate in the kitchen of the house. In addition to arresting our client, police confiscated his revolver, 2 rifles, a set of bow and arrows, and his machete. Our Jacksonville Battery Attorneys looked into the "victim's" background and presented evidence of her instability to the prosecutor. All charges against our client were DISMISSED.
Stalking
Our client, D.S., was arrested for Stalking in Jacksonville, a first degree misdemeanor. The alleged victim called police and told them she was being threatened by our client. She said our client was the brother of her child's father and she lived with him for approximately one month. Aggravated Battery
